I've read other bulletin boards where others have suggested that Tiger had something to do with Rory no longer being on the payroll at Nike, and I think the idea is absurd. What incentive would he have for getting Rory removed? Rory wearing and using Nike equipment is good exposure, in spite of any ill-feelings between he and Tiger. While Nike pays Tiger a lot of money to promote its products, it has hardly equated to a huge increase in marketshare. They're long-term goals of being the premiere supplier of golf equipment calls for having more than just Tiger carrying the brands flag and dumping Rory over a dispute with Tiger doesn't help them reach their goals.
I noticed Rory sporting that Adams Golf hat yesterday so I looked on the Adams website and Rory is now an Adams Tour player. That may be old news but I just noticed it. What's funny is that Adams just signed Aaron Baddedley who is a devout Christian who leads bible study groups on tour and then sign Rory - talk about a major contrast! I wonder how Badds would talk about Rory at a sponsorship function!

I think Tiger might be the only pro playing today that affirmatively makes wholesale sales happen. How many people walk into Sport Authority asking for the same gear that Natalie Gulbis plays ?

If I wore skirts I might.
Then again, sometimes my playing partners suggest it might be a good idea if I did wear a skirt.

Hahahahahah that is a really good point. I did a real "lol" when I read that!
