The Buick Invitational is underway. Strongest field so far in 2007: Tiger is back. Phil is back. Kelly is back . Also, the Torrey Pines South Course will host the US Open this year, so this one is well worth watching. This tournament is played on both the north course and south course however, and the current leaderboard may not be a good reflection of the 'true standings' because of it.

Does anybody know what club Tiger used for his chip in for Birdie on #8 yesterday? Looked to be from about 10 feet and the fly/roll looked to be 50%/50%. Beautiful! I would use my 50* Gap Wedge for that, but I always read that Tiger uses his 60* Lob for most all shots around the green You can watch it on pgatour.com film clips.

TW doubles his lead to 8 shots. I won't be able to watch tomorrow, but it looks like a 'done deal' anyway! If TW doesn't win this one, someone please post who won!

Nick Faldo made a bold prediction near the start of the televised coverage: He predicted TW will achieve the true Grand Slam this year (i.e. he predicted that TW will win all four Majors in 2008).

The way he played this week, he may win everything he enters this year. The single season win record is certainly in jeopardy. He looks absolutely amazing.
