Immelman/72nd Hole

Props to Trevor for piping that drive. Then, Huge Props for gouging it out of the nasty divot to 20 feet. Guy handled the pressure great. Watching Snedeker was fun, up down and all around. Got to think it will make him better next time under big time pressure. Great Masters!! Unbelievable that Tiger got second when it was obvious he was getting no love the whole tournament in terms of his putter and breaks.

Re: Immelman/72nd Hole

Agreed, those were two excellant shots, but not quite the same with a three shot lead. No one was really able to apply pressure under the conditions and the current course setup.

Loved Sneds all week; had some tough ones, but held up better than Casey or Flesch. Great kid, should be a good pro, and agree, he should have learned a lot this week. Was very emotional in the press room afterwards - it most be emotionally and mentally exhausting to be contention for a major.

Trevor has been a prodigy for more than 15 years, and before his illness (and then unrelated surgery) had climbed up to No 12 in the OWR. I suspect he will win more majors and be a consistent force for the next decade. Nice young gentleman as well.

I think Immelman has got a great rythm and back swing. Consistent back and through. I think that's what gave him the edge in pressure situation. Tiger's swing was loose. Driver let him down and his putter. Hit excellent recovery shots several times.

Re: Immelman/72nd Hole

i dont think you can tiger's poor play on his swing. to me its all on the putter. he missed clutch putts coming down the stretch. ya you could say he got bad breaks with catching lips and stuff but at Augusta you have to hit perfect putts that die over the edge in the heart. Tiger knows that as well as anyone and he would be the first to tell you that.

secondly ata boy trevor. played so solid all week and even though he made mistakes coming down the stretch he maintained enough to prevent a major problem or phil-like collapse. i was impressed with his play all week

Loved watching The Masters. It's fascinating to see how the best golfers handle pressure and a demanding course in the wind.
