Trevor Immelman just won a major chapionship with 4 days of excellent play, beating Tiger Woods and all the best players in the world. Now, he's 11 shots off the pace after day 1 of the EDS Byron Neslon, in a field without Tiger, Phil, Vijay, Ernie, Jim Furyk or pretty much anyone in the top 10 in the WGR (aside from Adam Scott). Just another example of how fickle the game can be, I guess.
I think you're right. I also think there is a possibility that all of the top 10 could be 11 or 12 shots off the lead after the first day if they were playing. Such is the game of golf.

There is also the chance that TI celebrated a bit, skipped a few practice rounds and lived in the moment of being a Master's winner...have to believe that after winning all you would want to do is take a couple of weeks off and savor it...maybe he is "off" mentally, but if I was less than a dark horse and won in Augusta, I wouldn't be any good for a month at least...
Post round interview yesterday. He's tired, hasn't practiced well, and is beat down from the Masters whirlwind.
.
He has to be just worn down. Letterman, Regis, Today show, Oprah, whatever is all was, he's been all over. He's done at least 2 commercials already, I think 2?? Maybe just 1, point is, he's been **** busy!!!
He'll rest up, we'll see him back in the hunt soon.
immelman needs to rest more, only tiger can come back from a major and win again. immelman will get one more win this year. lol that one commercial with vijay always cracks me up
