I haven't been able to watch much of the wachovia championship due to school and tennis season, and i was wondering what course it is on? I can't believe that my fellow Mifflinburg High School graduate Jason Bohn is ahead by two strokes and had a 6th at the Verizon Heritage because he is playing so magnificently! Maybe if I am lucky he will win and donate some money to my high school golf team...
its played at the Quail Hollow Country Club here in Charlotte, NC.
no offense but jason bohn isnt going to win this one. i have a feeling geoff ogilvy might be making a move up OR anthony kim is gonna lock it away if he doesnt choke.

jason bohn showed himself the otherday. on 16 he hit his approach shot into the green and as they were pulling away and the camera was on him he said to his caddy "i should have never let you talk me into that shot. not the right shot at all" in a mean manor.
meanwhile the guy had been like 6 under on his round up until that point.
Way to go Anthony Kim! This was my sixth time to play Anthony this season in fantasy golf. He finally won hehe. I don't think it will be his last win this year.
I also had Slocum and Cink in great position for more bonus points, but neither finished in the top three. Vijay was my 4th and he just lost it on #17. What's with Vijay and hitting into the water? I'll have to find out how much water is on the course before picking Vijay again hehe.
I have to say, I am very happy to see Kim win (even though I don't have him in Fantasy) Always great to see a young player look like he has the complete package.
All I said was I was excited to see someone from my small town doing something really cool, you didnt have to rip on him. What about Tiger whenever he has one of his hissy fits in a round its just pressure....im sure not everybody is a saint on the course. Besides, 3rd isnt bad at all, better than any of us.
I followed Boo and Brandt during their early moening round, grabbed a burger and went to watch Phil during his first 6 holes, then went back to 2 to catch Kim. It was sad to see almost no one in his gallery. This kid is good, I mean he is going to win alot and often. It would not suprise me to see him pick up a mojor this year or next at the latest. He got a case of nerves on the back 9 and you could tell it he was sweating bullets and my fat butt was dry after walking with him.
The putt he made on 8 was incredible, you have no idea from watching it on TV how hard a putt it was. I was sure he was going to two putt for par.
anthony kim is good, he putts well and has the distance of tiger from the tee. jason bohn even said that when he was playing with kim, kim reminded him alot of how tiger plays
Very interesting to see the players...The Never hit a shot until they are totally COMMITTED to the shot at hand...
Couples extremely shy, but charismatic. Ian Poulter extremely flashy with his clothing. Charles Howel hit a 330+ drive on #16 and Kim was not far behind. Vijay needs to get a golf lesson with his driver...I could not tell what shaft he had...looked like a titanium or steel in that Cleveland.
Equipment: the funny thing was is that these guys had so much lead tape on their clubs, you could not tell who sponsored them...lol (i remember caddying in steve Elkington's group at the Quest International in the 90's...he had Titleist Tour models that had been shaved/grinded in the muscle back part...all rusty)
Also, one player had a Nickent bag with only a Nickent hybrid and 3 wood...the other clubs where Titleist.
Surprisingly, I did not see a lot of rifle spinners in their wedges. They had TT stepped steel...
Since Tiger was not present, the crowd was NOT as LIVELY...
Little bit like the bagger vance scene, seeing the field?
" There's a lot a shots he could choose from, duffs, topps, skulls. But there is only one shot shot thats in perfect harmony with the field. Look at his practice swings, looks like he's searching for something, feel that focus."
