U.S. May Be Getting Needed Ryder Cup Break

Right now, Sergio, Monty, Darren, and Luke Donald are outside the top 10. I hope that doesn't change, so at least two of them cannot make the team.

As we have seen in the past, the ryder cup is simply not a game played on paper or played by summing up the 12 players skills or ranking. The Euro's have trashed the US for a variety of reasons.

We'll have to see who Paul selects with his 4 picks, at least he can pick some hot players going into the Ryder cup instead of Chad Campbell and Howell III who were hot a year before the ryder cup.

I believe the key will be how well Tiger and Phil are playing and how motivated they really are. Both have been "letdowns" in the past matches and really haven't played up to their respective ranking in the world. The other key will be in the 4 players Paul picks for the team.

I would think the US would welcome seeing Sergio or Monty on the European team.
