Re: LPGA

Agreed, its good competition. I'm somewhat surprised Morgan Pressel has not placed higher more often.

Re: LPGA

I was very happy Paula won. We need some young talent about which to get excited. Julie is a great player but she's had her day.

How about that pre-shot routine Paula and her caddie went through before each shot? Obviously it is legal but it seemed be pushing on some boundaries. I've never seen anyone do something like that. Nobody on the air seemed to question it or feel the need to discuss it.

Re: LPGA

And it's nice to see Annika getting it together again. Too bad she is retiring after this year. She has a lot of golf left in her if she elects to continue.

I agree here. I haven't watched her much, so I have no clue why she doesn't do better. But I love watching Pressel's swing ... IMO, the purest one plane swing out there. I just love watching the club make that perfect arc in one plane.

Re: LPGA

Pressel doesn't quite have the length to be a dominant player. She's 149th in distance. Fun to watch though. I think Annika will play again next year, at least part time. Especially if she wins a major this year.

Re: LPGA

From a purely golf standpoint I really enjoy watching the women play. Their games are much closer to most of ours than the PGA Tour players are.

Of course watching some of the LPGA hotties play, knowing fully they could kick our butts on the course is not too bad either.

Re: LPGA

I'm really disappointd in the tv coverage for LPGA tournaments. I wish the Golf Channel would show more of the tournaments in real time rather tape delayed in the evening. I'm sure i've seen the The Golf Channel show a Nationwide event instead of the LPGA. I would much rather watch an LPGA tournament than a Nationwide event. Now I know the Golf Channel would not unseat a Champions Tour event for the LPGA, but a Nationwide event...come on. Ninety percent of the players i've never heard of.

I agree. In addition, the paid programming gets old

Re: LPGA

The coverage is sub-par and I don't mean that in a good way. The Curtis Cup was played at St. Andrews this weekend. Was it on TV anywhere? I didn't see it.

Re: LPGA

Been watching the McDonald's and I must say
Lorena is incredible! she's unstoppable. No loose shots for her, she drives the ball a mile (relative to the lpga) and is laser like with her wedges. She has a way better chance for the grand slam more than Tiger ever did.

Evidently she is stoppable.

Re: LPGA

How about that Erica Blasberg? She's a hottie too. There's just a lot of hotties playing in the LPGA.
