She's playing great, kind of an odd time to hang it up.

i was a little shocked to hear this.

i wonder if she is the kind of athlete who is true to her word or if she will pull an "MJ" and make a comeback or two.

she is only 38

It will be on the golf channel @ 2 Eastern.

It will be a loss for the LPGA and all of golf if she does retire. I believe there are still a lot of wins out there for her after this year.

Perhaps she just does not have the same level of passion for it as she used to. She also mentioned wanting to start a family, i.e. babies? Hard to be hitting driver with a melon for tummy.

She has the passion for competetive golf. She just has other things that will take priority over competetive golf.. She's ready to start a family, and her other business interests take up most of her time now..

I, for one, will miss her. She's got the nicest swing on the women's tour. And she is the utmost professional. It will be sad to, because she is one of the few that are any competition to Lorena
