Norman

I am a big Shark fan, and I am so happy for his play these last 3 days, and I would love to see him win. It would be great for him and his legacy. If you have ever met him, you would understand how gratifying this would be for him.

However, I believe someone from behind the pack may win tomorrow. Kim is playing very well, but may lack experience. I believe if Ben Curtis can post a good number, he may be someone to watch. Norman and Harrington both have a history of hitting some crazy shots at pressure packed times.

One thing to note is that Tony Navarro is not caddying for Greg this week (probably with Adam Scott). I believe this is the key. Tony N never stepped in and got Greg's head on the ground. This caddy seems to keep an even keel and I hope will step in. I think Tony N and Bones will go down as caddies for great players, but I think they could have done more for their respective player. Norman and Mickelson seem to suffer similar boneheaded judgement calls at critical times. It's that time that a caddy needs to step up.

I think Chris Evert has also had a great influence on him.

Best of luck Shark!

This may have more to do with it than any of the rest. He does have a history of stupidity on Sundays. If he keeps it together, it'll be cause for all us old foggies to celebrate. Kim is not out of it.

Re: Norman

Top performance by The Shark. Will probably start favourite at Troon next week in the Seniors Open. Deserves to win that one as a pay back.

Re: Norman

Top5 a pretty fair result for The Shark. There is a push 'downunder' to get him here for the summer tour. If so, he would attract enormous interest and the crowds would swell.

His age (53) seems to be a negative but lets face it he has a body of a man 20 years his junior, and his swing, while never classical, is as good as the glory days.

Re: Norman

It really turned back the clock to see The Shark playing so well. Does his British Open finish get him into The Masters again?

Yes he has a spot in the Masters if he wishes to take it.

Re: Norman

Yeah, it was a good finish, though he has clearly shown he can do extremely well.

Well he's got another chance with the US Seniors open going on now.
