I was checking some math, and the last place that'll get you some points for the contest is 10th (2 points).....does that mean that 11th place and on gets no points or subtracts from your total?
I told you I was obsessive...

Not necessarily. The last place that gets points will be 10 strokes behind the leader. So if the leader is at -7 (I believe that's what it is), anyone at +2 will get points, too.

If the leader is at -7, wouldn't +3 be 10 strokes behind and therefore eligible for points?

Nope. It seems like it would be, but it doesn't work out that way. I had to write it out, and 2 points for +2, but that's it.
Maybe I have to re-read the rules, but I thought it was your round *each* day, not where you stood for the tournament after each day. Hmmm... Either way works, I just wish I noticed Jeff Maggert pulling out.

Victory did state that anyone 10 strokes behind the leader would receive points. I'm not sure what point scale he's using but, (by my calculations) if the leader is at -7 and you're at +3......you are 10 strokes behind. Proof....Improve your +3 score by 10 strokes and you're at -7. How did you reach a different conclusion by writing it out? Awarding points for the Top 10 finishers would put anyone at +2 in 10th place but only nine strokes behind the leader, not ten strokes behind. I'm sure Victory will straighten out our little math problem!

The problem could be with counting even as a place. Also, each day is scored individually and not be the leaderboard. So if someone on the first day is 2 back of the leader the first day, they will get 16 points. Then the next day, they can be 3 shots off the highest score but be in the lead if everyone up in front the previous day falters, he will get 14 points instead of 20 for being in the lead. After this contest is over, I will try to calculate scores based on leaderboard to see which scoring method would have been better. I calculated the scores after the first and second rounds. I don't have them with me but fyi, thearn3 is in the lead.
