Looks like the best score in the clubhouse is -3 right now but there are a few players still out at -4. Ernie Els is one of them after 13. Justin Leonard (defending British Open at Troon champion) is at -2 after 13. Lefty is at +1 after 11. I think half the field hasn't even teed off yet.
Anyway, post all of your running British Open comments in this thread.
Is it a little much that I have a chart on my desk (at work) which I'm using to track the round-by-round progression of my picks? This is the first sport that I've "completely" fallen in love with; playing and watching...I have coworkers who are Fantasy Sports freaks, but none really follow golf...
LOL. I don't have a chart... yet. I will be making one soon, though because I will have to keep track of everyone to give you all the winners. I did see a few of my picks doing well, though. K.J. Choi and Els are in red numbers and Sergio was at even last time I checked.
Rich Beem was -5 for a little bit but ended up -2. I am kinda pulling for Curtis to make a decent showing this year. Doesn't seem to be treated like a major winner.
He used a PW. I'm lucky to go 80 yards with one....
I'm using this leaderboard at Golf Online. Refreshes frequently. Watching some guy named Alastair Forsyth climb up the board - he's at 4 under, through 13 right now. See if he can hold on to that.
The Open has been good so far, but im still pulling for Woods hes only 4 back and sooner or later hes going to win one y not now? But I am mad that he could be -5 if he made his eagle and birdie with no bogeys. The golf gods really must be mad at him.
I was checking some math, and the last place that'll get you some points for the contest is 10th (2 points).....does that mean that 11th place and on gets no points or subtracts from your total?
I told you I was obsessive...
