I have decided to start a new weekly thread here at Golf Rewind where we discuss the tournament of the week. Since the tournament this week is the Bank of America Colonial, we'll start with this thread.

Anyway, the major topic with this tournament probably has to be how low key this tournament is this year. Last year, this had to be one of the most anticipated and most covered tournaments because of Annika. This year, she's not playing and the big names such as Tiger, Vijay and Els aren't here after they were all in the field last week. What a difference a year makes, huh?

yes, this tournament was pretty much a yawner. i mean, we had the exciting finish at the masters. then vijay won to cause more stir to the "who should be #1" discussion. after that, tiger decided to play some events and we had some fields with tiger, vijay, els and mickelson. i'd have to say this year's colonial was more about who wasn't here (the big name players and annika) than who was.

i dont really mind how low key it is,

all i am bothered about is seeing proffesional golfers play and watching how elegant their swings are

so basically i sit and wish i could have a swing like them.

true. i watched the colonial anyway even without the big names because i just like to watch golf. it's nice even watching steve flesch or chad campbell play but i'll admit, i would rather watch tiger and vijay battle it out.
