Here's the thing that bothers me...despite all the publicity and fanfare over Tiger's PRIVATE, PERSONAL indiscretions, what in the world does that have to do with his golf game?
I have not read all the replies as of yet, but up to that point Tiger thought he was invincible and could clearly focus all his attention to the game when he was playing. Now he will be dogged by the media circus, lot of distractions, and the realization is no better than anyone else. Time will tell if he can regain that focus and determination again.
Why not?...busy? lazy? apathetic? Not tryin' to start a fight, just...why not?

You KNOW what Tiger was thinking?

Yeah, that wasn't there before all this.

Despite the grammar, still, I think I detect a little resentment there.

Ok...which tournament was that? I mean, since "the incident". You know, the tournament where he displayed his loss of focus and determination? Wait, what was Tiger's last tournament?*
*WGC-HSBC Champions -12 T6 Total breakdown compared to the win at BMW and second in the Tour Championship...and of course his pathetic performance at the President's Cup.
The biggest addiction I've had in my life is my children. Now that Tiger is in grave danger of losing unfettered access to his beautiful kids, we'll see how he follows through and where his priorities lay. The days of having his cake and eating it too are certainly over.
As far as his golf game goes, he's better than Jack Nicklaus was. My guess is that all of this will take a toll on his game for some period of time but he'll still obliterate Jack's major win total.
Outside of golf he's conducted himself more like some amalgamation of Lee Trevino and Hugh Hefner. It remains to be seen if he's serious about changing that. In the end, the personal stuff will be a footnote to everyone except Tiger and his family.
It seems all the "rumors about Tiger playing in the Match Play event coming up was after all just "Rumors', like I figured they were. Maybe next month the rumors can start again about the Masters.
After the speech today I don't think that he'll be playing for a while.

And now Jack Nicklaus expects Tiger to play in The Masters, maybe before then. Jack has stayed away from weighing in on the Tiger troubles, saying it wasn't any of his business. But, he feels his prognostication on Tiger's return relates only to golf, so he's on record for a Tiger sighting in the near future.
