Anyone here attend an LPGA Tour event?

I'm wondering if anyone here has attended an LPGA Tour event. The reason why I ask is because I just read "Who's Your Caddy?" and in the chapter where he caddies for the LPGA pro, he says something like:

When you look at the LPGA Tour players hit, you think, I could actually do that! On the flipside, when you look at a PGA Tour player's shot, you never think in a million years you could pull anything like that off.

Now, I'm not saying my game is anywhere near LPGA Tour quality but I'd say a lot of us could learn from them. We probably play courses closer to theirs than PGA Tour layouts and our distances would probably be closer to the females (just admit it !) too. Where they would kill my game would be in accuracy and consistency.

Anyway, I'm wondering what those who have attended LPGA events think.

I used to work as a volunteer at the LPGA stop that would come to Seattle(Kent actually) Did it for about 4 years. I would be a standard bearer(the guy with the travelling scoreboard) worked in transportation-took the gals to their hotels, houses, airports. I took Pam Wright to Taco Bell.

It is amazing to watch these players strike the ball. They for the most part don't swing hard, they play smart and are as a whole, nice people. I worked one year at a Senior tour event that was here and most of those guys were really nice too. Except one un-named little golfer who would wave his putter around like a sabre after making a putt......You could do nothing right for this guy. Was a pain to everyone, except the gallery...Inside the ropes where people couldn't hear what he was saying, was totally different.

What I found out soon being a volunteer is that about 70% of the golfers out there are within 3-4 years of college. Lots of hotties. I would highly recommend getting to one of these events if you can. The best sight seeing time is during the monday qualifiers.

I'm a member at Wykagyl Country Club where the Sybase Big Apple Classic is held, formerly the JAL Big Apple Classic. I also attend the Buick Classic every year at Westchester Country Club, literally down the road from Wykagyl. And if you want to see a proper swing with correct position of the club then go to an LPGA event. Almost all the women have perfect swings with great tempo. The men tend to have more variance in their swings. I've seen women hit some unbelievable shots but not as many as the men. The women tend to just hit fairways and not neccesarilly hit the cover off the ball. If you want to see straight golf, the way I think it should be played watch the women. They hit fairways and greens better then many of the men.
