Anyone notice...

at the battle of the bridges....when on one of the long drive holes they gave a measurement of club head speed, ball speed, spin, etc...?

Anyway, Hank had a club head speed of 119 and flew the ball 330.

Tiger had a club head speed of 129 and flew it about 300 but he sliced it real bad...

Phil had a swing speed of 128 and few it just over 300

John had a speed of ?? because it never showed it. But his ball also went about 330 in the air.

Anyone notice anything wrong with this picture? How can you have a 119 club head speed and hit it 330 in the air...and then then phil, and tiger have a 129 mph club head speed and hit it just over 300?

Tiger also had spin rate of 3350 whereas Hank was around 2500.:)

Yeah I noticed that too...basically the higher the spin rate the higher the ball flight the less the distance in the shot right?

So basically tiger has a more decending blow on the ball to gain a higher spin rate...whereas Hank is more around his body and not so much from the top creating less spin.

The ball also makes a difference. I know Phil was playing the regular Pro V1 earlier this year while many of the longer hitters play the Pro V1x. The Pro V1 has a higher spin rate than the Pro V1x so this could make a difference.

In the Buick they showed a close up of Daly's ball and he was playing a Dunlap...Unless they've come out with a better ball, all of the dunlaps I've hit feel like POOP!

Dunlop Loco balls are pretty good. I've liked them, and that reminds me, I should go out and get a dozen. Meh, I just got Nike Tour Accuracy TWs ($17 Canadian!) so I'm fine.

Must be the same balls Big John uses....cuz he knocks the "POOP" out of his!

I bought a couple of Locos off off the retired guy that sells found balls by my local course. They're pretty nice balls.
