It was interesting to see the way Johnson and Stricker used their caddies throughout the round. Johnson talked through every putt with his caddie, while Stricker played it all on his own.

By their results for that day, it's clear to see that sometimes asking for help doesn't always help a player.

Of course, there were probably other factors, but the difference in caddie-relations during the round is certainly remarkable....

And our beloved golf is the only sport where this unique relationship exists. That said, I've had some wonderful caddies (mostly) and a few I would rather forget.

Do all tour players have a steady caddie like Tiger and Phil? If not, what percentage of them do have one? I know a guy who caddied Thursday and Friday at the Sony Open, probably for an amatuer, but the thought did cross my mind that perhaps there are pros out there that select caddies depending on the tournament because of their knowledge of a particular course....
