La Quinta

I watched the Bob Hope Classic last week. I was struck how pretty the courses were. I did a google on La Quinta CA. That really seems like a nice area for a golf vacation.

Has anyone familiar with the area? Any one ever play the courses there?

Yep, La Quinta is beautiful - especially the courses. My wife and I have lived here for the last 4 years, having moved from Santa Barbara, Ca. after many years of coming for vacation each year. Tons of courses, lots of variety and beautiful scenery to enjoy them. Come on down!

Re: La Quinta

I live in Portland Oregon and go there every year around this time. The place is what in my mind heaven will be like. Perfectly manicured fairways, true, fast greens, fluffy white sand bunkers, beautiful scenery and everybody loves golf. Pretty much all the 100 plus golf courses are like this but the only downfall is the prices at some of the courses are $125 plus.

Re: La Quinta

$125 a round is fairly high. Especially for someone who shots over a 100. But that does seem like a beautiful place to vacation.

Palm Springs is a great place to play golf. I have been going there for the last 6
years and will be going again March 24th. Our group plays Rancho La Quinta and
Andalusia. Great courses as are all of the courses in the desert. The weather is
wonderful and the views are fabulous! Go before June because the temperatures
get to about 110 during the day after that. We go in March and the temps will
be in the 80's and 90's.
