Re: IF tiger plays the masters, how will he finish?
He may or may not make the cut. If I were a player I would not want to play with him. The only reason he is picking the Masters to make his return is because Augusta National can control the crowds and press to some degree. But when he hits the real world he will be booed and heckled openly.

I am not smoking anything!
Tiger will be making his comeback, and he won't be the old Tiger for a while. NEXT year, He will be the contender he's always been. This year, not so much. Sorry if you disagree with me.

A very real possibility - too much time off before a Major, and too many distractions. I don't care who he is or how he's done in the past - these are significant issues.
Separate thought - if he does well - say a Top 10 finish - wouldn't that lend credence to those who feel that, over the years, Augusta National has been tailored to favor Tiger's game?
Re: IF tiger plays the masters, how will he finish?
If the Masters is his first tournament back, I predict he'll finish 25th to 30th. If he plays Tavistock and Bay Hill, I think he'll finish around 10th at the Masters.
I would not boo or heckle Tiger, even if I was sure I could get away with it.

If The Masters is his first event: 26th place.
If it's his second event: 12th place.
When his emotions are raised, such as after his father's death, he missed the cut at the US Open, so I wouldn't yet expect him to win a major this soon. Though, I do expect him to win at least one major this year, The US Open and/or the British Open.

The US Open that year was at a course his game is definitely not suited for, plus the death was clearly a loss in his life that created a big hole for him mentally. It was like losing your best friend/mental coach for life. It also happened a few weeks before the US Open.
Getting teased about his "past" will not affect his attention to detail, but will re-energize him. He has had a long time to prepare for his golf return.
