I have to think he will feel awkward and self conscious and probably have a little problem getting into the cocoon he wears on the course his first time out. If he feels nothing, he's a sociopath. I don't think that is true, so, Tiger will have difficulty achieving a top-ten finish.
It will interesting to see who Tiger is paired with. If the pairings are truly random, then anything could happen. If they have any degree of control over it, then you can bet the pairing will have been scripted for the occasion (relatively minor player, who has previously been sympathetic to the Tiger camp).
The point of the "comeback" is to try prove that corporations can control the narrative of sports. But that may not be entirely true. NIKE put all of their eggs in one basket with Tiger so they have no choice but to continue supporting him. Meanwhile, some very damaging material has just been released which shows that the extent of Tiger's perversions are much worse than previously thought.
The "Official Version" of the story is: Tiger comes back, wins the Masters (see, look, we still still own the PGA), all of the perverted stuff gets swept under the carpet, he goes on to win at least 19 major tournaments, and is enshrined as Greatest of All Time.
Reasons why Tiger will not win the 2010 Masters:
- Probably he has gone into seclusion to focus on his game, and may not be even aware of the full extent of his troubles. And there are still two more weeks to practice. However, he will not bring his "A" game, because has not actually competed for 4 months
- Did not win any of the majors in 2009. In particular, the loss to Y.E. Yang is troubling because he could not close the deal on a Sunday and was flat-out beaten by a little-known player. This introduces some element of self-doubt
- Tiger's aura of invincibility is gone. Also, certain players are very displeased with Tiger's selfish and reckless behavior, and they will be "gunning" for him. Especially players who have been overshadowed by Tiger in the past, it may be time for some "payback". People to watch out for: his former major rivals, people near the top of the world rankings, young players who have no allegiance to Tiger and would rather become stars in their own right than use Tiger as a meal ticket
- Intangible factors, the whole situation will be somewhat surreal. He may not get heckled, but everyone there knows that something is not quite right about this whole picture, and that sensation will be palpable.

Have'nt they always been gunning for him? They just don't have enough skill to beat him.
I find that I don't much care anymore. Between the Tiger lovers and the Tiger haters on sports talk radio / ESPN, the tabloid magazines and newspapers, and the conveniently timed release of the porn star texts... the subject (What really happened? Will he come back? When will he come back? How will he do when he comes back?) has been manipulated for all it's worth, and basically has been beaten into the ground.

(The sad thing is, with the way Hollywood and the sports world are these days, it shouldn't take long. Memo to all you famous people: hurry up and do something really stupid, would ya' ? )
I saw on the news that one of his misresses will be at the Masters. I hope she follows him and is in sight all day. Maybe get a T shirt made, "Tiger's Tail". I would love to see all 15 in a group, standing at every tee box while he hits.

Granted that Tiger brought all these on himself. But these women ain't angels. And some of them pretty sure did it for the fame and potential money that follows.
Oh trust me, I don't think much of these women. I just want Tiger to have to face some of this out in the world. His "I will speak but not be spoken to" conferences are getting on my nerves.
My prediction is anywhere between 5th to 15th place. It'd be hard for him to win because of a layoff this long, and the fact that he hasn't won at Augusta for 4 years. So definitely there'll be some rust.
