Just took a look at the leaderboard - although the 2nd round isn't complete, Cink in doing fantastic. Although he wasn't my favorite for the captain's pick, he really is showing his grit in showing people he deserved the pick. Now I hope he wins and can have the momentum heading to Oakland Hills. BTW- Tiger sure looks like he will easily hold onto the No. 1 spot after this week - Singh and Els are way back toward the bottom of the field; maybe they are more emotionally drained after their great efforts from last week.
It looks like Cink heard all the criticism of him being the Captains pick and is giving everyone a look at how he can play. Apparently Hal might have known what he was doing.
You know, I was never a big fan of Cink until I worked as a Standard Bearer (one of the dudes that holds the sign with the scores of the players in a certain group) in last year's L.A. Open. The guy didn't do anything fancy, but didn't make any mistakes and ended up shooting an extremely solid 3 under for the day. That really changed my views on the guy as a player. Solid!
