GR Ryder Cup Pick 'Em Leaderboard

Here are the unofficial results after the first day of the Pick 'Em contest. They are unofficial because I haven't verified that everyone picked according to the rules. I was in fact DQed because someone pointed out that I picked wrong.

Europe to win...

jogi: Europe, 5.5 points
Gaz: Europe, 5.5 points
NDShim: Europe, 4 points
Keith: Europe, 1.5 points
The_Magician: disqualified for not picking players from losing team. had the right idea, though, as winning players would have earned 8 out of 8 points.

USA to win...

stl_card25: USA, -0.5 points
thearn3: USA, -0.5 points
leaguegolf: USA, -1.5 points
dblbassted: USA, -1.5 points
sbrentt: USA, -1.5 points
itsalebaron: USA, -2.5 points
Mojo: USA, -2.5 points
14and18: USA, -2.5 points
tonyg: USA, -3 points
no_back: USA, -3 points
dbl1011: USA, -3.5 points
valeogut: USA, -3.5 points
jcgolfpro: USA, -3.5 points
shaderunner: USA, -4 points
golfnut_2: USA, -4.5 points
deronsizemore: USA, -4.5 points
Halk: USA, -4.5 points
forgedRbest: USA, -5 points
trudat: USA, -5 points
Tommyboy: USA, -5 points
Canadub: USA, -6 points
JimSomebody: USA, -6 points
victory: disqualified for picking 2 players from the same group.

There might need to be some kind of tiebreaker system so here it is.

Tiebreaker #1: Most points with winning team picks
Tiebreaker #2: Most points on Sunday
Tiebreaker #3: Most points on Saturday
Tiebreaker #4: Group A player with the most points
Tiebreaker #5: Group B player with the most points
Tiebreaker #6: Group C player with the most points
Tiebreaker #7: Group D player with the most points

Now, if there's a need for an 8th tiebreaker, we'll just call the winners "Co-Champions"

Here's an updated leaderboard. I only compiled the scores for those who picked Europe because it's much easier for me.

jogi: Europe, 6.5 points
Gaz: Europe, 6.5 points
NDShim: Europe, 5.0 points
Keith: Europe, 3.5 points

Looks like Gaz won it, Poulter clinched it for him. I can't say I was disappointed though. Congrats Gaz

Congrats to Gaz for some great picks. And congrats to the European team on a great week and to their fans for supporting the better team. I'm glad that this board though is good-natured and not mean-spirited. I just took a glance at the ESPN board and it is bad over there, some of the comments are way out of line (right jogi? ).

Congratulations to Gaz, winner of the Golf Rewind Ryder Cup Pick 'Em contest.

The final score between the top two leaders Gaz and jogi were:

Gaz: 9.5
jogi: 8.0

I haven't made the seal yet but will try to get it done sometime this week.

Congratulations Gaz! Your boys played with style and class and certainly showed that they were the better team this year. It's always fun when you back the winning horse! I'll be checking out your well earned Ryder Cup Seal....with envy!

Congrats, Gaz! And congrats to all who picked the Euros. How many times must they win before I finally figure out that THEY'RE TOUGH!

The better question might be, how many times do they have to win before everyone stops calling them underdogs?

As for your seal, I promise I'll get it done sometime this week. <-- Okay, now that I've said it in public, I'll have to deliver.

You've gotta set your standards higher!

Anyway, since I got DQed and picked the United States in doing so, does that mean I finished below The_Magician? I guess I take last place this time.
