Ryder Cup 'total points'
Can someone please put me straight!

What is the total points available, and required for a win by - obviously Europe?
1 1/2 - 6 1/2 already, what do you need for a victory?

I moved this to the "Tour Talk" forum for you. Anyway, I'm not quite sure on it but I believe the European team neads 14 points to retain the Cup and the U.S. needs 14 1/2 points to win it. I may be wrong so if I am, somebody please correct me but the points needed are somewhere around there.

Victory was correct. To win the Ryder Cup a team must win a minimum of 14 1/2 points. In the event of a tie (14-14) the team currrently in possession of the Cup, retains it.

It's possible.... but unlikely.
