Sutton is obviously taking a leaf out of Sam Torrance's book and sending his big guns out first. I don't think it will make much of a difference anyway, it's too late for a comeback. Mickelson vs. Garcia should be an interesting match, and I think Casey can give Tiger a run for his money. It all seems pretty evenly matched to me, I predict 6,5 -5,5 for Europe.
Did you notice that he sent them out in the order they qualified for the team?? Heard that on the ESPNews interview with one of the writers. No other strategy has worked, so they may as well try that one. My question is: if the matches are clinched early, will the rest of the guys finish out their matches or will they pack it in? That's the only interesting story to be played out tomorrow in my mind.

There was a suggestion (a few years back) that once a team had clinched the Cup, the remaining matches on the course be halved. The players nixed that idea (and rightly so) because the original intent of the Ryder Cup was to promote golf between the countries involved. That, and nobody wanted to taint their playing records.
Every player out there has enough pride in themselves to compete to the very end, even if the winning team has already been determined.

Maybe, in a Nicklaus-like show of RC sportsmanship, as soon as the Euro's get what they need, all Euro's still on the course will concede their remaining matches to their opponents. Not that we deserve it!
You ask a good question, Card. Who'da thunk we'd be considering such a question on the eve of Day 3?
I would have to say the matches should be done by the 5-6th group in.
I actually think the US will drag it out a bit longer than that. I think that Clarke and Monty will win their matches but the US will win the rest of them down to the Dimarco-Jimenez match. Just long enough to give we US supporters some hope, then it will end, probably on a 50 foot putt, since the Euros seem to have a 50% conversion ratio from that length this week
The Euros putted lights out the first day but haven't really putted all that much better than the Americans since then. These matches have been won by teams that put the ball in the fairway the most often and hit the most greens. I still want to see the driving accuracy and GIR stats. That's where I think the Euros outplayed us.
Hmmm... Interesting
Phil vs. Sergio looks like a good one!
Now to find out what time I'll have to get up tomorrow morning(im in new zealand you see)
Go the euro's

I caught a clip of the press conference with Hal after Friday's matches and someone actually asked him if the players would be sent on Sunday if the Cup was clinched Saturday.
