Can't you execute a shot perfectly and still end up with a bad result? Seems to me that Phil's reputation, and successful PGA Tour career, (prior to tempering back this year) is based on hitting shots no one else would try. This failure was well documented, but to say he has failed "far more often than he has succeeded" is speculation at best. He hit a bad shot in a bad situation. That much we can agree on!
