My plan for defeating the Euros in 2006

-No more points standings.
-The captain picks all 12 players.
-The players who WANT to play submit a written entry to the captain.
-No more four-ball or foursomes. All 28 matches are singles.
-Just like GB&I added all of Europe, the US can add Canada, Fiji, South Africa, and Australia

Think we'd have a chance at the K Club???

LOL. I like the 5th one the best. Would we still be Team USA after adding those countries or would the Ryder Cup turn into Europe vs. the World?

The Captain's wives usually pick out the wardrobes, pending the husband's approval of course. The shirts would've looked a whole lot better if we were winning!

I didn't know until this year that the players for each team is selected by a different system. I can't remember all the details, but they are vastly different. I guess I like it being just a US team (nothing against the non-eurpean countries) - in almost everything from sports to politics to fighting wars, the US stands pretty much alone and I kinda like it that way.

I don't know if anyone would want to be a captain if they had to select all 12 guys. You could ruin a lot a friendships in that position. And when it is all said and done, most of the guys on tour pretty much get along; at worst they can tolerate each other. Having said that, I don't think you'll ever see Phil and Tiger get paired together like they did on Fri. From what I've read in the press, they hardly spoke to each other, while their opponents were much more at ease with their partners.

I think they should keep the ryder cup because of its 'tradition' but i reckon that the Presidents should be a 3way comp.Heres my plan:
Same selection process gets 12 a team for the three teams.
On the first day there would be 6 usa vs 6 europe and the other
6 usa vs 6 world and the other 6 world play the rest of the euros.
For the second round the 6 players would swap and play the 6 of the other team.
Day 2: pretty much the same as day1 but captains can mix their teams up if they want.
Day 3: 2 18 hole singles matches with the same format as day one.

I know that its very confuddling to understand but i think that it is a great concept to get more games. Its a pity that it will never happen

We should at least be able to add Canada. After all it is part of (North) America. I also heard it from a guy... who heard it from a guy that Fiji has been engaging in some "WMD program-related activities". Maybe the guys at foggy bottom can jump on that before '06.
