I knew I was going to like having you here! Tiger's attitude has been well documented, but Wie is getting a pass from everyone because "she's only a 15 year old girl." She's a 15 year old girl that has made a choice to play in the adult world. A few of her comments in the 60 Minutes interview came across as arrogant, regardless of how old the person making them was.

Confidence is a good thing (I've got plenty in my own game) but I'm a firm believer in accomplishing something before telling me about it. Wie is a fine player and has a promising future but I've heard all from her I need to hear until she accomplishes something notable. Her story is old news until she adds new chapters.

I've never had a problem with Tiger's attitude toward the game. In fact, I admire it. It's his on course language that needs an "adjustment."

Okay, cool on the Tiger bit. I wouldn't change his language, but I would change the volume with which it is spoken.

I agree with you and will clarify my own position a little more: Wie was booted early in the US Women's Amateur this year. She has yet to really "win" anything at all. She won't win the Sony Open in 2005 - and she may not win much more than a high school match.

The best thing I think she could do is not to play in the Sony Open (though this is OK, as there is probably no conflicting women's event that weekend), but to play women's events and WIN a few of 'em.

Tiger Woods should be the least liked tour player. He throws clubs around like a 5 year old, he swears all day long, he litters the course with his water bottles, and the everyone ignores it because hes African American. If Jack Nicklaus acted that way he would be committing suicide in an instant.

Its quite obvious most Tiger fans care nothing about respect for the game, they just like watching 300 yard drives.

The good thing is Tiger has already peaked, so it looks like he will be washed up at 40. Hopefully his replacement will have been raised better, and thus not act like a brat on golf course.

Does Michelle Wie count? She does seem stuck up.

I have to go with......(drum roll)....Duffy Waldorf

I was at the PGA championship a couple years back and when he left the last green (where the players usually sign autos for the fans and THE KIDS), and he just said "I don't sign" and ran off. What a prick.

There are a lot of players on Tour who have a lot worse attitude than Tiger but you don't see it because the camera is on Tiger 98% of the time. He is a grown man he can use any type of language he wants on the course. Just because you wouldn't use it doesn't make it wrong. If you had a mic in your face for your entire round people would think you had a bad attitude as well. At least they would think I did. I say enough four letter words to make the Soprano's PG.

I disagree. There are little impressionable young kids that attend these events and he has a duty to respect that. ABC has caught alot of his potty mouth on national TV that I have witnessed. It's unfortunate that Tiger doesn't understand why he should zip it at certian times.

Wow. So back in October 2004, you were discussing Wie.

Why did the member 1231963, go to a thread last replied to in October 2004 to make a comment? Perhaps he/she could have started a new thread.

I would have to say my least fav is Tiger also. I do enjoy watching him rip into it once in a while but Tigers following is pretty undesirable also. He gets way to much press. He could lose an event and still get more press than who ever won.

John Daly is one of my favs. Seems like an average overweight fun guy. Id love to meet him and play 18 with him.
I also like to watch Mickelson.

I think David Simms is a good example of some of the tour players. LOL
