I'm not a big fan of Vijay either. Don't know why, but he just doesn't score high on the likability scale as far as I'm concerned.

They are independent contractors. They can do what they want. Besides, it isn't up to the golfers to police children. It is up the parents to teach their kids that those words are bad and not to use them. Besides, I would rather have my kids playing golf and cursing rather than drinking, doing drugs, skipping school, etc. If you and I throw little tantrums on the course, they should be able to also.

Why did the member 1231963, go to a thread last replied to in October 2004 to make a comment? Perhaps he/she could have started a new thread.

Why, it'd just clutter up the board. Maybe though, to get a fresh thread.

One of my least favorite is Mickelson, everything about him (except the talent) seems so fake, he reminds me a lot of the Eddie Haskell type, (oops, giving my age away now).

I can't remember specifics, but DiMarco said some things around the time Tiger beat him at Augusta in '05 that made me wonder if anyone in the world would root for him if they didn't dislike Tiger.

It's nothing most others on tour wouldn't do, but sometimes I wonder if people tend to give the benefit to players who say the same kinds of things as the ones they dislike, just because they're against one another.

I have to say that my least favorite players are the ones who don't get excited when they win. People get annoyed with Tiger's fist pumps, they mock Phil's victory "leap" and his smile, and they laugh at Rich Beem's goofy dance. But would you rather have that or the Jim Furyk and Davis Love types and tipping their caps? You can't expect people to be excited when watching a player who's not exciting.

Least favorite player would have to be Michelle Wie.

as you probably know, i love changing the subject sometimes, especially when there's talk about sexy ladies. i can't really say a least favourite player (although i have in the past) as i dont know any of em close enough to know what they are like in everyday life.

Eddie Haskell, Phil Mickelson and Alex Rodriguez are cut from the same cloth. Funny thing is, New Yorkers love Phil and despise A-Rod!?!?!?

but enough thread-Jacking.

My least favorite golfer is Vijay Singh. I'm tired of waiting for him to enjoy himself out there.

This is going to sound stupid, but my least favorite has always been Fred Funk...and I can't even think of a good reason why.

Even back in high school (1990ish) Fred Funk was on my least fav. list, maybe just because of his name. On the golf team back then, if you had a bad day on the course, then you had a bad "funkin" round, or "you really funked up that chip". We all just disliked him I think because he was so average with no personality. So we called each other some versions of his name every chance we had.

He's playing very well lately though, so I've got to give him that.
