Gotta go with Ernie on this one, folks. He fulfills his obligation of playing in 15 TOUR events each year.

The TOUR invokes waiver clauses as a means of monopolizing a player's TOUR time. It's an attempt, on the part of the PGA TOUR, to dominate the world golf landscape; and I think Ernie should stand tough.

If I were Ernie, I'd call Finchem and tell him if the rules are not changed, immediately, I'm gone. I think the TOUR would flinch first.

Nope. Golfers come and golfers go. No one player is bigger than the game. The policy board is there for the players to change the rules. Play by the rules or don't play.

Yeah, but don't change the rules too much. That is what the PGA is doing to a certain extent. I believe that the new rule about playing in more PGA tournaments is fairly recent. I could be wrong though...
