Silly Season

Between now and the Mercedes Championship in Hawaii in January, does anyone watch the silly season events? Anyone care?

Any favorite events? Any events you think are ridiculous?

I watch any of it I can find. The Skins Game, Father/Son event, Shark Shootout, Target Challenge, etc. I also try to catch the early Euro events like the Johnny Walker Classic if it's on in early December like it is sometimes.

This is going to be the first golf off season that I really . . . will miss. In the past I havent been so in tuned to the game. Just over the past 8 months (living in SC where courses are a dime a dozen) I have really gotten hardcore into the game. First off season here I come :) What was the name of the partner match, had Tiger, Daly, and two other long ball aggressive types playing, was earlier this year, I think in June or July?

That match included Tiger, John Daly, Phil Mickelson, and Hank Kuehne. The event used to be called "Battle of the Bridges" but I'm not sure what they called it this year.

It was still called "Battle at the Bridges" this past year. Don't know about "of the Bridges". Must be that age thing again. Don't forget to take your medication.

I was too busy shootin' hoops with my 9 year old to pay much attention to the TV. he's all the "medication" I need!

BTW When was the last time you made a basket?.....other than a wadded up cheeseburger wrapper into your hotel room's waste basket!

No, hook shot off the chinese food containers, clean accross the room for three. You should have seen the rebound off the bud light cans later on.

Silly season events are the best. It lets players like Tiger and Singh show their real personality on the course. It's also a good change up from the four round medal play of every week.
