Aren't we all "responsible" for our own actions?

Are you sure you weren't just watching Happy Gilmore instead? ;)

--------------

Anyways, about Ricky Barnes blowing up and Tiger Woods. Just this last week at the Buick Invitational, Tiger let out a very loud "****" after he hit a terrible iron shot. I think that the FCC should fine him for being indecent on a major network. Then again, I suppose it'd be the network that'd get fined instead.

You know what the weird thing is? Tiger DOES have an influence on youth. I am 19 years old. I can honestly say that I respect the greats like Nicklaus and Palmer. My favorite now days is Ernie Els (other than when he broke his putter recently, he is always calm and an oustanding individual). Also, I hate.. No.. I take that back. I loathe Tiger Woods as a golfer and as a person. But do you know what? He draws me into tournaments. I watch him because I enjoy watching to hopefully see him fail. Nevertheless, Woods does influence me. I never had a temper on the course until recently. The last couple of years, I started being more vocal about being ****(I never curse as I usually play with my dad, but I may slam a club or get angry and not talk much). In fact, just this last year, I six putted for the first time ever. The greens here have no grass on them. They are like British Open greens at certain times of the year. I hit a bad putt, then hit a second bad putt so I just started hitting it. The thing is, whenever I go into a rage, even I imagine myself saying words straight out of Tiger's mouth. He has influenced me, I admit it and I am not proud of it. This year, I am going to just have fun and stop getting angry.

But if anyone says Woods has no influence on youth, then they are dead wrong. By the way, I am not positive, but I am pretty sure I saw Michelle Wie mouth some curse words a couple of weeks ago. I forget what it was I read on her lips. But I think it might have been SOB.

Love the way the tournament director handled the situation. Very professional. Did his job in a respectful manne to Barnes yet, had to lay down the law. Good on him.

Whew, I just read through the whole post before jumping in, Ya'll all need to step back
and have a pepsi and while your at it throw some peanuts in it......all in all it was pretty good reading. I am in no way a tiger fan.....and despise his on course antics at times.....but fines should be fines they shoul dbe equal. but i would like to see a few to the tune of suspending someone, in golf that would be the ultimate slap in the face.
can't enter a tournament? woooohooo that would hurt.

The thing that gets me scratching my head is the putt missing bit... I can understand foul language (I'm guilty) and club slamming (I'm innocent) but missing a putt seemingly intentionally? That's just so disrespectful to everyone involved... fans, sponsors, endorsers, etc.... I can't imagine doing that even if I were playing by myself... odd.
