The bottom line is that VJ won 9 tournaments playing on the best Tour on the planet. He has no control who shows up to play and he did what a Champion is supposed to do.....he beat everyone that entered.
I dont know that anybody here hates Tiger (I certainly dont) we just want to make sure that Vijay gets the credit he deserves.
True enough, Vijay Deserves a lot of credit.... but saying that so does tiger. I do recall hearing "tiger slump". Sad to so but tiger finishes top 10 in almost all his tounreys, finishing in the top 5 on the money list with only one win has gotta tell you something. Vijay as well as Tiger need more credit! Saying that so do a lot of PGA tour Players. Guess it REALLY is the Tiger Vijay show. Everyone seems to not talk about great players like Chris DiMarco, Mike Weir, Davis Love III, Ernie Els. Maybe this post should Include Els, since he IS playing in more PGA tour events this season??
Very funny , uc8u As U know, no golf board is complete without at least one vigorous i-luv-tiger/i-hate-tiger thread.
I hear ya waz. Some things just don't need to be debated: 1. Vijay has beeen the best golfer in the world over the last 1.5 years, and 2. Tiger has had the better career between the 2 so far.
I think Vijay should go over and play in Japan so he can win every tournament and officially become the best golfer ever to grace the earth, it doesn't matter if the field is weak at alllll.
I'm not a Tiger fan but I do acknoledge his skills and his accomplishments. Go back and look at the VJ wins and who was in the field. I see Els, Harrington, Haas, Davis Love, Mickelson, and whole bunch of other hacks like Mike Weir, Todd HAmilton, Stepehen Ames and John Daly.
I know I didnt mention Tiger.
BTW....VJ IS officially the best in the world.

I think CAuger may have been hitting the eggnog a bit too hard. Weak fields ? 9 times ?? Tiger was the top gun and he may well be again, but VJ's the man NOW. Merry Christmas.
haha I'm playing devil's advocate, I don't have anything against Vijay and I love watching him play. I just think that people jump on the bandwagon and don't say the other point of view just like people are quick to jump at Tiger that he's in a slump and a has-been before the age of 30.
What determines better? All I know is when Tiger Woods plays his best no one can beat him. It's cut and dried! Singh may be a better ball striker than Woods. A toss up? Here's another thought. If you had to choose Tiger or Vijay to be on your team when you were behind, who would you choose? I'd choose Tiger. As an amateur he came from behind to win numerous championships. Then again, Arnold Palmer once said, and I summarize, when he was asked why he didn't win a particular tournament, he said the other guy may have needed to win more than I wanted to win.
