I just read that Taylormade Released Fred Couples and K.J. Choi. Does anyone know what sponsor they have change too?
I wouldn't be surprised to see "Silly Putty" stitched on his bag in the near future. In honor of both his "silly season" success and the fact that he now uses a belly putter!
Well it looks like Nike grabbed another guy with Justin Leanord who just joined the staff. I hope the Hogan Golf Equipment doesn't just vanish and loose its players because of Callaway.
Too bad Hogan (Callaway) lost Leonard. They don't have the endorsers a name like Hogan should have. I wonder if Callaway puts much effort into landing someone to endrose Hogan clubs. They have enough $$ so that should not be a problem. Jonathan Byrd and Carlos Franco did win this year using Hogan irons, although they are big not names by any means.
Leonard has entered an exclusive multi-year relationship with Nike Golf that includes clubs, ball, glove, bag, footwear, apparel, headwear, and accessories. He will reconnect with Nike Golf’s lead club engineer Tom Stites, who used to develop new equipment for Leonard’s previous endorser.
I thought Justin would be a lifer for Hogan having grown up in Texas and been around the influence of Ben Hogan, himself.
Which is almost out of business. No offense to anyone who plays Lynx, but when was the last time they released a pro quality club?
I'm pretty bummed for Hogan. I love the irons made by that company, and they really deserve more than they are getting. Just one more reason I hate Callaway.

You better check again dave, I don't believe Golfsmith is almost out of business.

Callaway can market Hogan's better than Hogan could, and Callaway keep the name alive. That's got to be a good thing for those of us that like Hogan irons.

As long as they do it by keeping with Hogan's clique i.e forged clubs for the better player that's fine.
However, it looks like Callaway has them slotted for budget equipment. The woods they've released and the new irons are very un-Hoganesque so far.
