I read that Ian Baker-Finch (91 Open Champion) is thinkin about a comeback in few events this. After 8 years out of the competitve game.
He says that maybe just the smaller tournament, maybe a few nationwide events and some down in his native Australia, as he contemplates having a crack at the gravy train (oops sorry seniors tour) in 6 years time.
Beteen 94 and 97 he missed 32 consectutive cuts on the PGA tour the blew out with a first 92 at the 97 Britsh Open.
Good on him I say and good luck, its a bit of waste seeing him up there in the booth

What makes him think there will be a "Champion's Tour" in 6 years? That Tour is on the serious decline. :nodsmiley I do wish him the best on his comeback though.
The funny thing is Finch still shoots 64-66 when playing in money games against his former collegues on the PGA TOUR but for whatever reason (toughest 6 inches in golf, probably) he can't find the game when the spotlight is on.
Now that's just mean, Keith. I like Finch in the booth & suspect that's where his future lies.
Sorry wazman.....but "Reality" TV sells these days and an all or nothing event like that would be watched by more people that the :nodsmiley Battle at Bighorn style of events.

I didn't realize that strange... you'd think someone with as much experience under the spotlights wouldn't be fazed by them.
