I know when asked which PGA/European/whatever tour tournament is their favorite, most would say one of the majors. But which non-major event is your favorite?
For me, it has to be the Memorial Tournament. Muirfield Village is such a great course and in late May/early June in Ohio, the whole place is green as can be. Plus it's Jack's tournament, and it attracts one of the strongest fields each year, generally producing a strong winner as well.
Other events I really like are the WGC-NEC, Canadian Open, and the WGC-Accenture Matchplay.
I'm partial to the Buick Open (Grand Blanc, MI) because I attend it every year. My getting to play the course occassionally adds a different perspective for me.

The Players - the real kick-off for the season
The Crosby - Bill Murray & I love to watch them play at PB
Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup... if you count those as tournaments. otherwise,
1. The Players Championship... the stadium course at Sawgrass is just fun to watch... the 17th hole is awesome.
2. Sony Open, cause its the first real tournament of the year and it's just a short drive from my apt.
I have to agree with wazmankg I really enjoy watching the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, its fun to see some celebrities go out there and hack it. I also enjoy the Westchester Classic because I get to go see it live every year and I've played there. For women I like the Sybase Big Apple Classic because its played at the course I'm a member at and I get to meet some of the players.
The Clambake just because it is fun. I like Doral a lot. I don't know why, I mean besides the fact that is a beautiful course. It is just one of those tourneys that I try and catch as much as I can.
My favorite non-major tournament is the Player's Championship. Maybe I'm just buying into all of the hype but I like it because of the strength of the field.
Euro tour Omega Masters in Switzerland - mostly for the AWESOME scenery
Colonial - I go every year, and I think it's SO much more enjoyable than the Byron (more hotties at the Byron, but it's far too crowded, and too many drunks)
The Players Championship, probably. I admit I take a bit of sadistic pleasure in watching 'em play the 17th.
I remember some years back, one of them-- forgot who-- was safe on the green; only for a seagull to then swoop in, pick up the ball, try to fly off with it and drop in in the drink...!!
