The pressure to remain No. 1 has taken its toll, Singh admits. So he’s made an attitude adjustment as he comes to the Ford Championship at Doral this week.
“My focus is from now on is just try to win golf tournaments and to focus myself like last year,” Singh said. “Trying to be No. 1 is putting too much pressure on the wrong part of my game. I'm going to focus on winning golf tournaments.
“There is a lot of pressure to try and keep it. If your focus moves away to try to be No. 1, then obviously you're not trying to win golf tournaments, and I don't like that feeling.”
Ah, don't tell me he's breaking...c'mon VJ, hold it together man!!!! You never heard TW complain about being #1, but hey, there's only on TW, soon to be #1 again!!!
Yes, Tiger is back, but it seems like the #1 spot can change often this season.
This coming week, Vijay is playing the Honda, and Tiger is off. What if Vijay wins? I would imagine he'd get right back to #1... I guess the official world ranking site will update us tomorrow.

It would be pretty exciting for it to move around between Tig, VJ, Ernie, Phil and Retief. I wouldn't mind it even staying with Tiger if we had more of the type of final rounds we had today(well at least that's what I heard, I was in route home for about 5 hours. Missed the whole final round). I think it would add something to the legacy of these guys and this era if we could get these guys to grind it out against each other more often. We are less than a month away from our first major, and I can't wait.
Too bad VJ missed too many of those short putts yesterday or it would have been an even more interesting finish with the 3 of them battling. Phil's fate was on 12 when missed his short birdie putt and settled for par to Tiger's eagle. Then again missing on 16. But Tiger deserves credit, he won.
