Of course it was! I expected this thread to get maybe 1 or 2 replies acknowledging the lame news of Vijay getting his own golf game. Didn't expect this....lol

Nice job guys! We can all be opinionated and still discuss our differences without getting out of hand. I think this thread is a mirrored image of VJ's new video game. It may get your atttention for a minute or two but you're sure to off playing something different
very soon!

Cool, another video game thread .
I would have no problem with Michelle Wie playing in the Masters if she QUALIFIED for it. I don't know why she would try to play regularly on the mens tour where she a low level player at best vs a star on the LPGA.
I like Vijay because his honest and says what he thinks, even if I don't agree. It beat listening to Tiger and other tour players who won't give their opinion on anything.
I've read about several black empoyees at Agusta that have worked there most of there lives and talk about how well they are treated. I think the issue of no black members is more related to the members as a whole than Hootie.
Just my $.02

Just for the record.....Augusta National has at least one black member. Take that for what it's worth.

1. Women are certainly "allowed" to work in this profession. In fact they have more potential opportunities to do so than men since they can play LPGA, Nationwide, PGA, Champions, while men are prohibited from LPGA.

2. A woman has never qualified for PGA Tour membership but to my knowledge the best women haven't tried to, individual events notwithstanding. Why? Most probably don't think they could do it even if they really commited themselves and they're right. A few might think they would have a chance at being a lower level PGA Tour player but don't think it's worth the effort, frustration and heartache. So there is a degree of unknown here IMO. Two women have qualified for individual PGA Tournaments. Zaharias & Whaley, though I'd personally prefer only to recognize Zaharias for this accomplishment since she did it on a level playing field (same tee boxes). Babe Zaharias actually made a cut.

3. In conclusion though, when assessing the potentiality or capabilities of an individual I don't believe it's ever useful or honorable to bring ethnicity, gender, etc. into the discussion.

I just read this whole thing and man am i tired.....I'll give michelle wie 6 years and she will never get her card fo rthe PGA.....ANd yes I do not like Tiget and I DO watch if VJ is in the lead, man what a smooth swing...i like it!
AUGUSTA? who cares they will always be there, and i'll always watch. I love watching the MASTERS, I don't care who runs it, but if TIGER does ever get to be chairman, i will quit watching, but only because i do not like tiger, and itsa not a race thing just don't like his mouth in front of kiddies.
Hootie? I think he is a hoot.....pretty much like most folk i know from that area, tell you to kiss my sway-backed donkey and then get over it and have a beer with you tonight or maybe tomorrow if you really ticked them off.....love that guy.

That will make her the ripe old age of 21. Most male golfers don't qualify for the PGA Tour until they're much older than that...... except for the likes of Tiger and Phil. Where was sweet swinging Vijay at 21? Probably flipping hamburgers. That said, she'll probably have a lot more PGA Tour Golf experience by then through sponsor's exemptions. I'll give her until she's 25.... That's ten more years. Her Nationwide Tour will probably be the LPGA Tour but if she really wants to prepare herself, the Nationwide Tour is the place but I think she'll be too spoiled by sponsor's exemptions for that route.
