Why Is Tiger #1???

VJ wins 11 times and has numerous top10s (top5s)
tiger wins 2 times in the same 12 montths ---yet woods passes VJ
even worse Els won 9 times and LOST ground

Add in Vijay's missed cuts and it's not that tough to see why he isn't firmly entrenched at #1.
Better consistency.

As the ABC commentators pointed the WGR is highly flawed. You can take weeks ago and go up in rankings while you certainly can't do that with $$ list. I'd be curious to see comparison of Tiger's earnings vs Vijay's in the last 24 months.

Earnings have nothing to do with World Golf Rankings. It's about performance. If you know how the WGR works....you spend way too much time on a computer! The system will be tweaked but it's based on two years results.

For the record......I'll take Tiger's Tiger's bank account over VJ's anyday!

And hes actually won 55mil world wide, only 45mil with just the PGA.

They've said his net worth is somewhere around $250 million...but that was a couple years and a few $80 million+ years' endorsement earnings ago.

You're busting on someone because they might be obsessed with Tiger?

Didn't Forbes Billion dollar list just come out? I don't believe either Tiger or Michael were on the list.

I can`t understand the big issue over this V.J vs Tiger debate that seems to crop up across all golf boards . It seems to be often an age related thing as I just can`t imagine two guys or gals in their late twenties onwards getting all hot and bothered about it...

Not yet, but many anlayists predict he is going to be the first billionare golfer in the world, wouldnt supprise me considering he makes a ton in endourcements, the cheques to get him to play in the tourney are more than the first place winnings. Give it 5 years he will have a net worth of 1 billion dollars. Remember Net Woth is Assests- Laibillities.... Im sure tiger has no liabilities and tons of assets... and a hot wife if that counts for anything
