Who's your favorite golf commentator?

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. The main commentator(s) in the tower on the 18th hole. for me I would vote.

1. Johnny Miller. Yeah he says some outrageous things , but I still find him the most entertaining and informative.
2. Nick Faldo & Paul Azinger. They are still pretty new to this but are learning. I think Faldo in particular will be quite good if he decides to do it for a while.
3. Lanny Watkins. He is ok, but I just don't think he adds as much to the broadcasts as the other three.

Zinger...Frank Nobilo is alright too...I don't really think any of them are that great though, I was pretty happy when Ken Venturi retired... I always thought he was the worst.

I like the new pairing of Nick Faldo & Paul Azinger.

I also like Johnny Miller, so I probably wont be checking your site too soon.

I enjoy listening to Johnny Miller's comments, and Faldo and Azinger do a good job also. Feherty had a great mix of knowledge and humor the few times I've heard him, but I'm not sure if he's an official "commentator" with a network.

I like Nobilo a lot also, but for the major networks.....FALDO is my favorite. I just love that guy's sense of humor, and his commentary is great IMO. Zinger doesn't do anything for me.

Faldo and Azinger are my new favourites from the US networks as well as McCord and Fehrety.

There are also some great commentators on Sky TVs golf coverage, Richard Boxall, Brian Barnes and Tony Johnstone spring to mind.

The BBC also have Sam Torrance, Seve and of course Peter Allis

I think Fehrety has a contract as an on course commentator with CBS

I really like Nick Faldo. He's reminds me a lot of a younger Peter Aliss. He mixes knowledge with humor, and he and Azinger make a good team. As for play by play, I'll go with Jim Nantz.

I've only heard Peter Allis on the British Open broadcasts. He sure is quite the storyteller.
On course commentator my favorite is David Feherty, followed by Judy Rankin.

I like David Feherty's on course humor, but I really like Johnny Miller's in the box honesty. I don't think it can be matched. You can count on him to tell it like it is, and he does it in a classy way. Faldo and Azinger are a really good combination too.

Ken

Feherty & McCord combo are priceless. Faldo & Azinger are also good, I also like Johnny Miller, he can be at times but he knows the golf seing better than most announcers so I have to respect that.

Johnny Miller is very entertaining. I find that I learn a lot about the technical aspects of the game with Nick Faldo.

On the flip side, Lanny Wadkins is so hard to stomach. During the Masters, count how many times he says "nice play" after a golfer hits a good approach shot.
