When was the last time a tournament finished on a Tuesday or Wednesday. Because we might be heading towards one. Yes, play is delayed once again at the TPC. Rain looks as if it will last awhile. To make matters worse, Sunday is supposed to be the worst weather of the week, with very strong thunderstorms and rain chances near 100%. And rain is also forecast for the first part of Monday. So players like Woods, Mickelson and Steve Jones may not hit another golf shot until Monday. And the PGA said no matter what, there will be 72 holes played. So there will be no Tavistock Cup, what about the Bell South Classic???
God this is driving me crazy! I want to watch some GOLF !
Im better now.
Well I guess it'll be the Ladies this weekend. At least it's a major. Annika's leading(what a shocker). Grace Park & Christie Kerr are in the hunt and Wie's still 5 back, although she played poorly yesterday.
Well, it looks to be clearing out a bit. Hopefully by the time NBC comes on, they can clean the course up and at least get some players to finish their second round. And then hopefully tomorrow they can at least get some golf in for everyone to finish their round. I think there's no chance of finishing this thing tomorrow. A slim chance of finishing it Monday. But by noon Tuesday, we should a champion.
This season's been frustrating with all the weather as a golf fan. Week after week, mother nature steps right in. I'm sure it's 10x more frustrating for the guys on tour. I just want to watch some golf.
Tell me about it... Ranges up here won't be open for another 3-4 weeks and courses well, they'll be closer to 2 months yet. The only thing keeping me sane is my weekend tv fix, and the european, champions, and nationwide tours just don't have the same effect
Good to see the third round finally start.Looks like a Monday finish ,if the weather holds.
What is happening to Florida this year? I was there over Xmas when the weather was 8 degrees better than normal.Everyone who has been there since say it's been wet and cold, and as the USPGA tour hits town it gets worse.
Should be interesting to see if Donald holds onto his form, he has to be the form horse in the top ten.

Lefty, the weather here in March has been nothing ****. It's this El Nino garbage. In February it was hot all month and in the 80s. In March, it's been wet and we've had some days this month where it wouldn't get out of the mid-40s. I'm hoping it starts to get better.
As for the weather forecast tomorrow, if you want to see Sawgrass bite back, then tune in on Monday. It's going to be fun to watch. A player going to the 17th hole with a 1 or 2 shot lead, trying to hit a green in 30+ mph cool winds. The sun will be shining, but the wind will be howling and the temperatures aren't going to be that warm. I think they're calling for low 60s in the afternoon, with winds gusting over 30mph. We may see a record number of balls in the water on 17.

Reason: Inappropriate Language
Nick Price (-3 thru 9 holes of the 3rd round) states they should be sympathetic to this week's Bell South in Atlanta (he wants out of there)
Davis Love (-6 thru 4 holes) said that those who don't want it to go the full 72 holes probably don't have of a chance to win (some won't appreciate that)
David Toms (-5 thru 11) says it should go 72 (more diplomatic than DL3)
Kevin Sutherland (-2 thru 6) doesn't see anything wrong with 54 holes.
Of course that is after long days of rain, mud, horns and frustration. Playing 36 holes tomorrow would be interesting, though the rain doesn't look like it's going to end for little while yet.... Lift, clean, and place will offset the wind somewhat. I wonder though; I think they have to play the rest of the 3rd round lift, clean and place but what about the 4th round? Assuming it dries out a bit during the morning hours, they might revert to playing the ball down for the final 18. THEN we'll see some real complaining..... cold, mud and wind.
Tuesday is supposed to be sunny, 73 degrees and low winds.
Cut and run, make it 54 and move on to the next tournament. Only someone 5 shots back wants 72 holes. See how DL3 and Toms feel after a couple of bogeys.
Know what would be really cool... moving the TPC to next weekend and the masters the weekend after..... but it will never happen... monday finish, would be better if it was a 72 hole event but what can you do
Looks like they will finish today. Some players have already started their 4th round. The leaders are late into their third, and will go right to the first tee after and start their 4th, roughly around 12 or 12:30. No doubt the wind is playing a factor today. Scores are going backwards. Luke Donald just double-bogeyed. Retief Goosen and Vijay Singh are getting very close to the top. Any player that finished 10-under or better by the end of today may win this thing, the way scores have plummeted the last hour as the winds have started to gust over 30mph.

17th has taken Mickleson and Westwood out of the equation ,both hit 7.
Looks like the pros are playing by my rules, finish with the same ball you started and something good might happen.(except they keep changing theirs, but you know what I mean)
When I was watching today they said that there has been over 30 balls hit in the water on the 17th!!! Bob Tway carded a 12 earlier also.....he hit 4 balls in the drink....came in tied for 10th at 7 under left tied at 72nd at 2 over....
