That was a clutch sand save on the last hole. Really pulled his rear out of the fire after all those 3 putts....Nice to see him win even though I was hoping for a playoff.....

Nice to see Funk win, just proves the bombing tee shot (which has been the norm for the first part of this season) is not the only thing that can take you to a win!!

Well, hooray for Fred! This almost makes up for Maryland Terps not going to the big show this year. All of us Maryland Alumni are thrilled for our former golf coach.....to say nothing of those of us OG's being happy to see one of US winning.

The Funkmeister . I heard he was second from the bottom in driving distance for the tournament. He sure can putt though. Nice to see Tom Lehman have a good showing.

A big win for the straightest shooter on tour (at least that's what the driving accuracy stats always say ). Fred's a good guy, nice to see him break through and win a bigger event after contending in several over the past few years.

Ive got nothing against Fred but I alnost wanted him to miss that putt so we could have a 4 or 5 man playoff.

Congrats to the Funkmeister

Somehow he comes across as the working-man's golfer.

I'm surprised though it said the current win ($1.4 mill) was more than 3x more than his previous best? ....has he not won in a while?

They probably meant almost 3x his previous best. He won The Southern Farm Bureau Classic last Oct. and the winner's share was $540k. Before that he hadn't won since '98, though.
