Just went to weather.com with hopes of a favorable weather forecast for Augusta this week, and I get a 90% chance of very strong storms in store all day for tomorrow. If there's any good news, it's that Friday and Saturday only call for "showers", not thunderstorms, and Sunday looks gorgeous. But we could have a repeat of 2003 where the 1st round is wiped out and they played 2 rounds on Friday (or attempt to).

i know. i've been following the weather carefully and this is not good news.
If there's any course on the planet that can stand up to a lot of rain, it's Augusta National. Those sub-air vacuum things under the greens do a good job of keeping the putting surfaces mostly free of water. I'm not sure how much precipitation they're due, but if it's not too much I'm sure they'll get play in. At any rate it should be a Sunday finish no matter what.
With 93 players, they should be able to find a way. I believe they have done split tees in the past, if they needed to make up time, but I am not positive.
Johnny Trance, didn't you go to a practice round? how was it?
or are you going to one of the competitive rounds?

Yeah, in 2003 they had a complete washout in the first round. They nearly got 36 holes in one day. The good part about the small field is you don't need to start half the players in the morning and half in the afternoon. You can have the entire 93 players start within 2 hours on split tees, which you can't do for mostly every other event. Hopefully, if it is a washout tomorrow, Friday's weather holds up.
NO RAIN THURSDAY!!! I already rearranged my schedule so that I can be home most of the day to follow the tournament on the computer until TV coverage starts. It would really make me unhappy if it gets delayed!!!!! Come on, Hootie, use your influence....
