Billy Casper
shot a 14 on number 7.
5 shots in the water.
Broke the record for most shots ever on a hole at Augusta.
Highest round is a 93 and he is on his way to break that record.

That is a shame. It happened on the par three 16th, because he started on the second nine. You never want to see anyone completely embarrassed like that. I am wondering if the Masters has just found its honorary starter for next year.

Ok, here is a question... If you were in his situation, would you withdraw so you would not break that infamous record?

In a second, I would.
What would you do?

Started triple, triple. Ouch!
I would not withdraw in his position though, there is no honour in giving up. Billy needs to get his head on straight & try to shoot good on the back nine.

I'd give it serious consideration...

Although
Now reading the posts & actually putting mysel in his shoes I might seriously consider it too. I wonder what his caddy is trying to do about it.

It has to be an awful feeling, but unless I was injured, I would take it like a man, and finish it out.

Casper is in last, and Palmer is in first.
Ryan Palmer is -3 after 6

He's at 89 through 15...quit while you're ahead Billy! If he pars out, he'll shoot 102. I feel bad for the guy.

I agree with 14and18, he should suck it up and finish the round and then withdraw from tomorrow's round.
