The other BIG issue with the advent of EBAY are all of the people who are simply trying to get an autographed item so they can auction it off. There are many adults who are using kids to get the items signed for their profit. I have seen it too numerous times to count at the MCI.
I've seen it too, adults with bags full of stuff that their kid went and got signed... I never understood why this was a problem. If somebody really likes a player and wants their autograph but lives in like Idaho or something and never has a chance to see their favorite golfer play in person and get their autograph, why would the pro think it's such a bad thing for somebody to sell it to them? Why? because the pro doesn't see a dime, so what. They're not poor they don't need the extra couple thousand made during their career off their John Hancock.
/I've never sold anything on ebay, but I have bought a autographed 8*10 of my favorite ever, Arnold Palmer
I Think Tiger Gets Away with It Because He Draws $$$$
I think the media does a double standard with Tiger. He gets away with his temper because he draws fans and $$$$. That is part of the reason I watch very little golf when Tiger is in contention.

Please, like he is the only great player who displays emotion. come up with another excuse not to like him.

You're missing a lot of great golf then aren't you?

There musta been quite a few years where you watched very little golf overall then. I'm not saying Tiger's a saint, or that pro golfers swearing or slamming clubs is right, but how often do we get to see the bad shots of other golfers? Very rarely unless they are in contention. Put a camera and mike on every PGA Tour player for every event and I'd guarantee you'd hear plenty of bad language and poor behavior from virtually every single one of them. :nodsmiley

Haven't you figured out by now Card? You're absolutely right but that wouldn't stop people from singling out Tiger. I'm not condoning Tiger's mouth but the same people that complain about Tiger's effect on kids are the ones who's kids are wearing NBA player's basketball shoes and NFL players jersey's and we all know what Saints they are!
People, chill out! Tiger definitely has a temper and he needs to learn how to control it, but Vijay Singh (VERY QUIET AND RESERVED) let out a barrage of expletives yesterday that would put Tiger to shame...and Phil yelled an F-Bomb today on the 8th hole just because his 3rd shot to the par 5 was 8 feet past instead of a foot from the pin. They all do it, and Tiger has more cameras on him than the rest...he probably does it more often than Phil, but Phil proved today that so-called "good gentlemen" yell out expletives on the golf course too.
Card is exactly right about putting a camera on every single player. I was at the Shell Houston Open a couple of years ago, and Geoff Ogilvie was playing with Phil...I was naturally following Phil since he and Ernie were the two biggest names that I wanted to see. Anyhow, on a par 5, Ogilvie got extremely ticked off because his 3rd shot from a green side bunker came up 15 feet short. He started slamming his sand wedge into the sand and then he actually grabbed his golf bag and slammed it on the ground and started cursing like nobody's business. Guess what, he ended up making the birdie putt and I bet he felt stupid about making such a scene over something that really wasn't that bad of a shot at all.
