14and18, I actually had another one, but I was flipping through golf pages and found this one...fits well I think.
As for the majors, I wouldn't want to get too ahead on the chances of Tiger getting on a major run, but Pinehurst No. 2 sets up very well for players like Tiger, Phil, Ernie, and company...guys with lots of length but also a deft touch on and around the treacherous domed greens that Ross designed. St. Andrews also fits those guys well, and with Jack probably calling it quits from major golf that week, he can complete the "Jack Farewell Slam." I don't know a ton about Baltusrol except that it is long and has hosted numerous US Opens, so it should also set up well for a player like Tiger. As for now, I'm just glad to see him win this one to get all the naysayers off his back, at least for a few weeks. :nodsmiley
Sadly, the naysayers will never get off his back. Wadkins said as much as they left the broadcast- people will still question him because he didn't win big enough (paraphrasing)

You're right, but he'll get a bit of a break for winning this tourney from the press, at least until after the US Open if he doesn't win.
Although I don't like how the media is always harping on him about not winning enough majors, the one thing that I hope they will all realize is how foolish they have been to overlook his consecutive cuts streak. This streak of his may last another 10 years if he keeps playing well (all signs seem to say that he will). While they're criticizing him for his bad language (did anyone else hear Phil yell the f-bomb on #8 when his chip went a few feet further than he wanted it to? No flipping out from the media over it), his inability to win EVERY SINGLE major he plays in, etc, I hope that they realize that his cuts streak is probably one of the best accomplishments ever by a golfer. If he keeps this thing going for another 10 years, I'm not so sure that it would not be considered the best accomplishment ever.
...So who's going out and hitting some balls tomorrow?
I too am heading to the range tomorrow however i had planned it long before watching the great golf today Courses are opening within the next two weeks so I gotta start getting my swing smoothed out. (new clubs too )

delong, what kind of clubs did you get? Some good stuff? Nike, Callaway, Adams, Titleist, Cleveland, Hogan, Taylor Made, etc?
delong, I've got the R580XD...did you get an XD or just the regular one? Lately, I've been kind of annoyed at the size of the club (440 CC) because it's really hard to shape the ball with a draw which is what I used to do with regularity with my smaller drivers in the past. Now, I either hit it dead straight, or with a slight fade. Very easy to control, but just doesn't feel very good to me for some reason. Of course, I haven't been practicing very much, and when I first got the club, I was still in high school on a golf team so I was able to practice every day and at the time I would hit the driver pretty straight or with a 5 yard draw or so. I've probably just picked up a bad habit and can't seem to figure out what it is, but I'm still hitting it pretty straight so that's what's important. Anyhow, I have Nike Slingshot irons...they are the best you can get I think. Very easy to hit (almost too easy, especially considering I used to have the Taylor Made 300 series forged irons --- the ones that Ernie Els and Retief Goosen were playing a couple of years ago).

I just got the regular R580 with the stock MAS stiff shaft. The 440 cc head in the xd turned me off, I hit a few but didn't like it as much. I love the R580 . I had it to the range for only the second time thismorning and I was absolutely crushing it. I hit about 10 drives that were out around 300+ . Until now I only had cheap $80 drivers but I finally decided to pay for the quality I can't wait to get this thing on a course

Cool man. That's good to hear. Hope you continue enjoying it!
As a sort of last note, while not everyone may like Tiger, no doubt Tim Finchem was pleased at what transpired yesterday. Ratings for the final round of the Masters were up 41% over last year. To be fair, the fact that last year's final round fell on Easter Sunday made a difference, but there's no doubt that this win by Tiger puts the PGA Tour in a little better negotiating position later this year.
didn't read this whole thread and maybe it was discussed, but I remember just before the coverage of the last round of the Master's, the announcer's were talking about how the course was set-up for player's to go low for the round and thus add excitement to the tourney. It was a 2-horse race pretty much right from the start of the 4th round and no one really mounted a charge.
