18 Major Victories

With 9 major victories, Tiger Woods is halfway to Jack Nicklaus' record of 18 majors.

Yeah I think Tiger will reach 18 in a least the next 10 years and I'll say he'll end up with 22 total......

I voted yes , but I'm really on the fence on this one. 2 years ago I would've said he'd win 20 at least. It's going to be close. I do think he has a better chance at Sam Snead's total victories record... if he wants it.

Well I think we're almost on the verge of another Tiger onslaught. (Nothing like a few years ago though) But I don't think 9 out of the next 40 majors is that bad. He's been averaging one a year if I remember right. Now the 22 majors I think is very bold on my part. One problem I can see is if he doesn't doesn't make 18 by when he turn 40 which I think he'll be out of time. Another issue would be if players can keep stepping up their game like they have lately.

Tiger also shouldn't have a problem with Sam Snead's record wins. (Isn't it like 80 some?) Tiger already has 43 wins in the last 9 years. That's winning at a pretty good clip....

No. But I'm pulling for him to beat Snead.

I said no, although I do think he will tie or break Nicklaus' Masters record. I think Tiger's going to be a streaky player the next 10 or 15 years. A lot of it is going to do with swing changes. He's going to have to make some. As he gets older, his club speed will likely diminish, as it does for everybody. And as it does, he'll have to make adjustments. But I think he'll have a year of winning 2 majors, and then a couple years where he won't win one, and then maybe another stretch of majors.

I think he'll get to 16 or 17, but fall just short.

I voted for yes. He's in great shape and I think that's a huge reason why Vijay has been able to play at such a high level at his age. I think if Tiger can stay motivated, he'll be able to play at the same high level Vijay does into his 40's. I think it will end up being close, though.

I voted yes. I just think that Tiger is destined to be known as the greatest golfer of all time. He'll break Jack's record for majors and The Slammer's record for total victories.

When it's all said and done, Tiger will also have won more PGA TOUR money titles and Player Of The Year awards than any other golf....by far.
