Just had opportunity to demo the new 588 DSG wedge from Cleveland. WOW, how easy to open the face. The grind enables the leading edge to stay closer to the ground so you aren't as apt to blade it.
Club works well out of the fairway too. I am going to get the 54 degree this weekend!

Good idea! I have the 56* and the 60* is in the mail from Golfsmith.com
I found that they are easy to open the face aswell. Nicest wedges ive ever used. So easy to get skyward! You've made a smart choice and Cleveland are world renowned for their wedges and they're onto a winner here.
I have the 52, 56, & 60 588 DSG RTG. I love them. Really like the rust from the RTG. I have been playing Cleveland wedges for 20 years. Got my first one in 1987 with a set of 588 tour action melonite blades and played those till I lost them early this year (left old cleveland wedges at a top country club and never got them back!). Happy with how it worked out I guess - still miss my old ones, more sentimental than anything else.
