Thumbs up Clevland CG14 wedges

I finally got these in today, and I LOVE them. I have the 56* and 60* ones. I was at the practice green today hitting them, and I was spinning RANGE balls with them! I can't wait to see how my pro-v1 or NXT-tour spins with them! These clubs look awesome, and feel great. 5/5 stars! Go buy them!

I bought a 52 and a 56 in black pearl and I love them. They are pretty heavy, which feels great. I found them on Ebay for $80 apiece, brand new.

Re: Clevland CG14 wedges

I just picked up at 52 degree Cg14 wedge with the Zip groove , Is this some sort of
Scam or something cause I certainly wasnt spinning balls back like they say its supposed
to? Or am I doing something wrong? or is this club just outta my league. Mind you I was
playing on some Fairly hard greens today which could be a contributing factor.

Re: Clevland CG14 wedges

They are not going to cause you to magically spin balls back unless you already know how to do that. By increasing the spin potential of the club they will cause you to stop the ball quicker on the greens allowing you to be more agressive to the pin without being scared to death you going to roll the ball 20 feet away.

No where in their advertising did it say they would draw the ball back, it just said it would increase backspin. I have almost always used Cleveland wedges and have never been upset with what I got.

Now that Roger Cleveland works for Callaway, I way have to give some thought to their X-Tour with the Mack Daddy grooves. Same deal as the zip grooves but I don't hear anyone calling them scam artists.

Frankly if you bought those wedges thinking that they would have you pulling the ball back, you scamed yourself.

Yeah, how they got him I have no idea. But I do know he sold Cleveland a few or more years ago.

Re: Clevland CG14 wedges

I actuall try out all wedges. Probably not alone on this....I just buy alot of clubs. Drivers, wedges, hybrids ect.

Actually saw the Solus infomercial. Then local Budget Golf had them. They just set up so perfectly, and they are also spin milled.

They are a good enough wedge that the other 3 that play every Sunday swithed all their wedges to them.
Very easy to hit,very forgiveing.
Out of all the wedges I buy and try, I always go back to the Solus clubs
