Arizona Golf

Well, my immigration papers have finally gone through, and I have now sold my house. Moving from Alberta Canada, to Tucson Arizona, will be a complete change, but one I am looking forward to. I know my golf game will benefit from the added 8 months of golfing weather. Just wondering if anyone had any advice for a new desert golfer. We have "golf pass" books here, which allow 2 for 1 , 50% off coupons etc. is there anything in the Tucson area which is comparable? Any course of interest that MUST be played? Any membership deals I should be looking into?

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if anyone is in the area and feels like playing a round, that would be cool too.

Let me know, it is going to be a big change but one I have been looking forward to for years!!!

Thanks

Maybe I'll make it down south to play with you folks one day. If you are in Chandler or Scottsdale, PM me and I'll take a day off to play a round with you.

Re: Arizona Golf

I'm in Tucson myself which part of town you live in? If you live by the freeway you can easily get to Green Valley in about 30 minutes. The golf courses there are some of the best for the price. Also sign up to golfnow.com you'll get emails everyday for some really great last minute tee time deals, sometimes even 75% off. Well hope you like the heat, and welcome to where you can golf year round.
