Denver golfers: Broncos shotguns
Anybody know a list of courses that usually do "Broncos Shotguns" on Sunday mornings?
Definition: Some golf courses in the area offer a shotgun start in the morning (8am?) during the football season. This usually done on Sundays when the Broncos are playing at home so that people can play a round of golf then go home (or relax at the 19th hole) to watch the game.
I know Murphy Creek did last year, and I heard Green Valley Ranch also did, but I figured there are some other courses out there that do. It's nice to have an early tee-time so that you have the rest of the day to do things (if not watching football). Otherwise, Sunday afternoons are a nice time to hit the links around Denver, as everyone else is watching the game. We usually bring out a radio to listen to ESPN Radio to get updates.
On another sidenote: After the St. Louis Rams won the Super Bowl, a nice golf course near St. Louis (Gateway National) offered half-priced tee-times after noon on weekends when the Rams played a home game. That was great.
