Any Course Recommendations in Denver??

Any course recommendations in Denver?

I値l be in Denver from Sept. 8-10 and I知 bringing my clubs. If anyone Golf Rewind members from Denver can suggest a course I壇 appreciate it. If anyone wants to hook up for a round on either Saturday or Sunday, I壇 appreciate that too!

I値l be away from my computer for the weekend, but I値l check back on Monday night.

If you'll have a car I'd suggest the Broadmoor in Colorado springs (about 25 miles from Denver) http://www.broadmoor.com/ or Fossil Trace in Golden (about a 30 minute drive from downtown Denver.) http://www.fossiltrace.com/index.htm The Broadmoor was on this years list of Top 100 you can play in Golf Magazine and it's a real treat. It was designed by Donald Ross/Robert Trent Jones Sr. so, as you might guess, it's a challenging set up and a beautiful course. Fossil Trace is a Jim Engh design and while I might be prejudiced (this is my home course) it's AWESOME.It's 6,831 from the tips and 138/71.8. # 1 is, quite possibly my favorite opening hole I've ever played. It's a 542-yard par five with deep bunkers guarding the green and an undulating putting surface.Fossil Trace is a better deal fee-wise but if you can play both, you'll be coming back to Denver again and again...And before you ask, I DO NOT work for the tourist bureau...I've got family commitments on the weekend of the 8th or I'd offer to be your tour guide. Hope you have a good time and good golfing.

I played some great mountain courses this year. The Raven, near Breckenridge. A lot of people consider it one of the best courses in Colorado. I liked it, but it wasnt great. We alse played Breckenridge which was a lot of fun. Redland's Mesa in Grand Junction was incrdible. One of the best courses I have ever played for sure. If you don't want to make a drive, I would suggest Bear Dance. I have heard nothing but great things from that course.
